Hajer Al-awsi

From prose to essays to plays, Hajer’s works flirts with themes of womanhood within Arab diaspora identity formation. She is currently procrastinating and working on a book about Zainab who is struggling to feel at home in the aftermath of being disowned.

She has had her writing published and featured in an installation for Parramatta Lanes Festival, an audio installation for Unspoken Words Writers Festival, at Seventh Gallery and Queerstories.

Hajer is also a member of the Finishing School Collective and the founder of the Iraqi Diaspora Creatives Network.
